  • Calculation of Thermal Conductivity Based on Wall Section
Enter the wall layer data in the following table. As you enter the data, thermal conductivity value calculation is validated in the bottom cell. The results should be below the recommended value of your region.

Thermal Insulation Coefficients for some of the commonly used materials and your Thermal Region information (in Turkey) can be found under the table.

Recommended U values for external walls of the buildings per TS-825 standards:

1st Zone: 0.8 W/m²K 2nd Zone: 0.6 W/m²K 3rd Zone: 0.5 W/m²K 4th Zone: 0.4 W/m²K

DUTL: The money flying off your walls

DUTL = [ Z x DA x U x EF x ( T1 - T2 ) ] / 1000

NNote: The energy type used for DUTL calculation is electricity. Your money loss will not change much with other heating energies. Combustion efficiency of the fuel and energy source to meet the thermal loss is considered to be 100% in the above calculation. The fuel used can be cheap however; in consideration to combustion efficiency, the cost will not change. Reason for this is the competition of alternative sources for energy.
